i painted this in australia before we left for our travels.
I used golden liquid acrylics on canvas, (i reeeally love these paints, such deep, intense stretchy pigments, and liquid so you can get it really fine).
I havent really painted any of these characters digitally, so they arent on my website or anywhere.
But you might have seen this image in pictoplasma3...
along with some of my other characters.
I was in a bookstore in Amsterdam yesterday and they had the book on display. I had a quick flick through it to check out your stuff. You're very well presented with a few pages of your own and characters on some other pages as well. Looked great. Good on ya.
How did you get included in the book, by the way (except by making some great characters of course).
thanks marshall,
yeah im pretty happy about it, the colours are a little of, kind of pinkish, but i think thats my fault, bad monitor set up. but I was surprised (an happy) that they used so many characters, i thought it would be maybe a just a couple.
In the last year I've been trying to be really positive, and make contact with people. I sent an email with a link to my site to the pictoplasma contact address, maybe a year ago, but i never got a response.
I'm still not sure if they found the site by themselves or from my mail.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
